Sculpted Pendant

This pendant is particularly unique. I was playing with melting silver, when I discovered I could kind of sculpt it in its molten form. This led to a lot of experimenting. I saved a bunch of my “sculptures” to be used in some project later. Later came when I was asking this super interesting stone how it would like to be expressed. It all came together then.

This stone is also super unique. I found it at a Metal Werx event back in 2019, when we lived in Boston. There a number of lapidaries and stone/gemstone sellers there, but after visiting the first one I saw my budget was blown. 😉 It was there that I found this stone. I had never seen anything like it before! They explained that it was a rose quartz, that they run electricity through copper, and that gave it its blue iridescent coating. I thought it was so neat I got a few of them.

This pendant is complete handmade of sterling silver. It measures 2 1/8″ tall, just under an 1 1/2 wide, and hangs from an 18″ sterling silver chain.
